Grand Rapids Christian Schools
I had the pleasure of collaborating with Grand Rapids Christian Schools, branding firm Hanon-McKendry, and web design group Mindscape to launch a major school-wide campaign and new website. I wrote copy to correspond with words on the grid in the photo.
Critical Thinking
Teaching a young person at Grand Rapids Christian Schools is more than an exercise in rote memorization by the student. It’s teaching the individual to think critically from a Christian worldview, and preparing him or her to be an effective servant of Christ in contemporary society.

Mathematics
Mathematics at Grand Rapids Christian Schools is taught at every grade level with advanced courses offered in high school.
Arts
The Richard and Helen DeVos Center for Arts and Worship helps maintain Grand Rapids Christian Schools long tradition of supporting the arts at every grade level by enabling us to offer training and experience in many artistic venues.
Chapel
Chapel is a time where the Grand Rapids Christian Schools community of staff, teachers, families, and students is strengthened through the nurturing of their spirits by God’s Word, age-appropriate teaching, and vibrant worship.
Educational Support
Each person’s potential is God-given and unique. Through educational support at Grand Rapids Christian Schools, we help each student who qualifies for these services realize his or her fullest potential through a variety of support offerings.
Bible
Bible is taught at Grand Rapids Christian Schools from preschool through twelfth grade.
Science
Science is offered as a core course at every grade level.
Athletics (Middle, Rockford)
Grand Rapids Christian Schools offers twenty-six varsity sports and fifty-three teams at the freshman, junior varsity and varsity levels together. Intramural programming in grade six and no-cut teams in grade seven round out an age-appropriate athletic program while multiple teams in grade eight provide more exposure to the benefits of competitive athletics. There is something for everyone who wants to get involved.
Respect
Each student at Grand Rapids Christian Schools is exposed to the importance of respectfulness from a Christian world-view. They learn about it in God’s Word and through the modeling of such behavior by staff and teachers.
Service
Who is hungry, thirsty, in need of comfort? Grand Rapids Christian Schools students tangibly bring Christ’s love to the least among us through various service projects.
Music
The fine arts play a prominent role in life at Grand Rapids Christian Schools as part of offering a well-rounded education; music is taught at all grade levels.
Language Arts
Language arts are taught at every grade level at Grand Rapids Christian Schools with advanced courses offered in high school.
Tuition Assistance
Our financial aid program has been expanded! Tuition assistance is available to qualifying families, and all are encouraged to apply. FACTS, TRIP, Preschool to Free School, and New2You Shoppe also provide added tuition relief to families at Grand Rapids Christian Schools.
